Uncle Fang's Chinese Restaurant

So we finally found a Chinese Restaurant we like. It hasn't been easy. Nothing will compare to Ming's Food Stop on West McMillan Street near the University of Cincinnati, where Stacey and I got take-out so often. (Ah, Ming's: cheap Chinese on a student's budget. That and a $1 video from Kroger was a perfect date.) But Uncle Fang's in Westerville is pretty darn good. We've tried the Chicken Lo Mein, the Sesame Chicken, the Beef with Snow Peas, the Potstickers, and it's all good stuff.

So patronize Uncle Fang's in Westerville, for us really, so they don't go out of business. We don't want to have to search for another Chinese food joint.

If you have the ambition to drive a bit, the Hunan Lion on Bethel near Sawmill is outstanding. Not cheap, not expensive.

We've never tried it, but the place we liked in the Dublin area was Windchimes. What we like about Uncle Fang's is that it's 1.5 miles from the house. Sawmill, not so much. ;)

We noticed a new Chinese place over by Polaris called Uncle Chan's last night, which caused me to comment to Stacey, "Everyone and their uncle has a Chinese restaurant these days."

Uncle Chan's is terrible, don't go. It was overpriced, the general tsos tasted like the smell of wet dog and the honey chicken was in a mustard type sauce, plus the meat had gristle.

I ran across your post when I was trying to look up the number for Uncle Fang's because I don't have my menu with me. I have been telling everyone the same thing! Go eat there so they don't go out of business! In fact, I am going there for lunch this afternoon. General Tso's chicken, soup, rice and egg roll for only $5.25, plus they even deliver.

We get the same thing every time:

Spicy Green Bean & Chicken combo with Wonton Soup
and
Chicken Fried Rice combo with Wonton Soup

It's not like we're not willing to try something else; but it's that what we get is so good. Yum!

Good food, very good food. we are from Los Angeles and have missed the mom and pop chinese. This isn't the elegant atmosphere, paper lantern type place to go to impress a date, but a nice, clean place to get authentic food, reasonably priced.
Sorry to hear of the wet dog experience. Everybody has a bad day::: I suggest you give them one more try.
I agree with the other post - support them on the the NE side if for no other reason than to give PF Chang's and China Dynasty a run for their "won tons."
